Origin:
Bred by Ge Hong (China, before 1994).
Introduced in China by Ge Hong in 1994 as 'Fenghuangzhiguang'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange or orange-red.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 4.25".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  
Habit:
Medium, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Medium, glossy, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
Can be used for hedge.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Seed parent was spelt 'Malina'. We have presumed this was the orange 'MEIlena', but it may have in fact been the red 'Melina'. More research is needed
