'Vogue Anniversary ™' rose Reviews & Comments

I had to get this rose for all the commemerative stuff about it and the color. So far, I would not call it a star rose. I got it in winter and planted then. I am in norcalif. When I got it, it had leaves with blackspot. I stripped those leAves off and moved on with my usual practices of sun, water etc. so far, it has bloomed small blooms, they have zero fragrance (I thought it was fragrant), and continues to get blackspot. I will give it this summer and one more, and report in.

The first plant that J&P sent me was an apricot miniature without fragrance. There was some mistake and after letting them know they sent me the real thing. Do you think you may have also got a true miniature sized apricot colored rose versus Vogue Anniversary? Vogue Anniversary has been very fragrant to my nose.

No kidding? Well it’s Apricot. I really like it actually and they behave better as the season went on, but no fragrance. How big are your blooms? How fragrant?I’m not sure that this is a miniature or not! How would I know?

The miniature one was very compact with a few cuttings growing in the pot with much smaller leaves (about 3" long) versus the true one that is a floribunda that has leaves about 5-6" long in total (all leaflets together). The photos uploaded are of my plant of the true Vogue Anniversary rose confirmed by the breeder. The blooms are very packed with petals and more cupped shaped. The miniature plant they originally sent had much fewer petals and the shape of the bud and bloom was more pointed. The leaves of Vogue Anniversary are also more glossy.
