Henry Clay, (Raabe,) pale blush, strong growth, perfect form, very distinct.

Buist also lists (immediately following):
Henry Clay, (Boll,) large brilliant carmine, fully double, in large clusters, a strong grower, and a splendid variety, blooming profusely the whole season.

(Thank heavens for “go back” to copy and paste)
This puts Boll’s ‘Henry Clay’ back from <1880 to <1847.
I have added Raabe’s ‘Henry Clay’ and also Brent’s reference of him in 1845 exhibiting a scarlet rose. Not sure if pale blush and scarlet would be the same rose.
