Bred by M.S. Viraraghavan (India, 2016).
Class:
Species Cross.  
Bloom:
Pink, blending, shading, undertones, ages to purple .  None to mild fragrance.  20 to 25 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, open bloom form.  
Habit:
Medium, spreading.  Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: up to 3" (up to 8cm).  
Breeder's notes:
The first of a new class, "Hybrid Hirtula".
Prickles: Medium number, ½ inch each, thin, straight slightly pointing downwards, light brown color

Lake Ashi, whose full name Ashinoko, is the beautiful lake in Hakone, Japan, and there are plants of Rosa hirtula growing all along the banks.
