Rosehip 'Luch' is the result of crossing the varieties 'Vorontsovskiy 3' and 'Vorontsovskiy 1'. Received at the South Ural Research Institute of Fruit and Potato Growing. Adopted for state testing in 1992. The variety was included in the state register in 2000 in all regions of the Russian Federation.
