Dr. Owen M. Moulden. The Production of New Roses.
The new varieties which I have sent abroad for trial have not yet been named, and are still labelled with their stud book numbers, They are: M26, M28 and M34
.M28.-This is essentially a decorative Rose. The bush is strong-growing and extremely foriferous. The foliage is light green in colour, shiny and leathery, and is less subject to mildew than any other variety that has been observed. The bush is constantly in growth throughout the year, excepting the winter months. The colour is a fiery, coppery salmon. The bloom is of the flat, open type, and contains from twelve to fifteen petals. Its colour, floriferousness, and glossy foliage are the distinctive features of this variety.
