‘Captain Thomas’ = Grimpant à grande fleur… se couvre en fin de printemps de boutons effilés, puis d’églantines jaune citron lavé d’ivoire sur le pourtour de leur corolle fripée… parfum léger. La floraison de mai-juin, généreuse, est suivie de rappels sporadiques… végétation vigoureuse, le feuillage vert clair et satiné, et la plante peut-être palissée sur colonne ou laissé libre, en grand arbuste un peu désordonné. Vieux de plus de 60 ans, il s’est révélé un excellent géniteur de rosiers à fleur jaune… Thomas, US, 1935.

Captain Thomas the yellow color fades to cream and almost white when fully open. It is continuously in bloom, bearing clusters on the end of strong stems.

Capt. Thomas, a posthumous pillar Rose by the late Capt. Geo. C. Thomas, Jr., is a many caned pillar with long yellow buds and three and a half-inch single flowers of pale yellow ageing ivory white. It is sweetly fragrant and blooms right up to freezing weather. It should do well with you.
