This is a plant grown from a cutting I took alongside a public road in Hamburg four years ago. I love this vigorous little rose, and in good faith I always posted pictures of it under this name (Bingo a.k.a. Carefree Delight). Only today I began to wonder. It might just as well be another Meilland ground cover rose, Pink Meidiland. The two seem to be virtually indistinguishable, the only apparent difference being that Bingo is supposed to be a lighter shade of pink. Now my two bushes produce flowers that vary in colour all the way from the deepest crimson to the lightest pale pink (see my earlier photos), so there really is no saying which one it is ...
