Jay-Jay, this rose will produce flowers in February where you are? Was this unusual, perhaps being a very mild winter?

Mild winter? Yes Hubert.
But unusual? Not quite. Another member in my zone photographed it in January and I did in December.
The Mary Rose is one of the first flowering roses and one of the last... And Redouté is a sport of the latter.

Thanks. I guess it must just be something in its genetics to make it not want to go too dormant. I haven't grown Redouté or Mary Rose before but I believe Mary Rose has been a popular rose for a long time in Australia and is well-regarded, so I'm guessing it must have a long flowering season in our mild-winter climate as well.
