This delightful rose usually makes a fairly tall bush about eight feet high but occasionally, in a secluded situation, it develops into a kind of semi-climber with shoots of fifteen to twenty feet in length. It is known, too, as R. Pissardi var. Narrow Water and takes its specific name in honour of M. Pissart, gardener to a former Shah of Persia.
