Scanniello discusses different types of climbing roses. Some are sports which are climbing versions of bush roses. Climbing Yesterday is a sport of a bush rose. It is one of the hardier climbing sports.

'Yesterday' is the biggest in my garden, a varicoloured mound about nine feet high and ten feet across, but I have seen colourful bushes of this three feet tall.
