Introduced in United Kingdom by Samuel McGredy and Son, Nurserymen (Northern Ireland) as 'Grand Hotel'.
Introduced in Australia by Langbecker in 1972 as 'Grand Hotel'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Cl., Large-Flowered Climber, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Red.  Strong, tea rose fragrance.  Average diameter 4".  Very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, high-centered, ruffled bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing, spreading.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 6'7" to 13'1" (200 to 400cm).  Width: up to 4'11" (up to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower or garden.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .
