This is a stunningly beautiful rose, of a deep velvety red with white reverse. The blooms are very large 5-6 inches) and beautifully composed with large petals of good substance. The flowers last well on the bush or cut. The plant is tall and vigorous with large glossy leaves. Health is good. Certainly one of my favorites and deserves to be more widely grown especially in hotter climates as (large) flower size and vigor is not affected by heat .

What is the black spot situation like in Hong Kong, and how does this rose handle it? Do you have to spray to keep it healthy?
I ask because I'm in the sub-tropics myself (Australian east coast) and am currently organising a personal list of roses which may be suitable for this area.
