Origin:
Bred by Jean-Marie Gaujard (1903-1995) (France, before 1931).
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1931 as 'Clara d'Arcis'.
Introduced in France by Jean-Marie Gaujard in 1932 as 'Clara d'Arcis'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1934 as 'Clara d'Arcis'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Rose-pink, carmine-pink veining, yellow undertones.  Moderate, spice fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large buds.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns.  Large, dark green, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
