Hayden Foulds, Manawatu. My Five Healthiest Roses.
'The Wedding Rose' (GEAaward) may not be well known to many, but should be more widely grown. Very healthy, it is a white floribunda but completely different to the likes of 'Margaret Merrill' and 'Iceberg'. It is a short growing rose so it is ideal for a small garden and would also make a good standard.

Nancy Paviour-Smith. Five Favourite Small Roses.
'The Wedding Rose' is seldom without a bloom in our garden, producing bright white blooms with a tinge of lemon, beautiful at the just opening stage and opens to reveal an old-fashioned type clustered centre. The very dark green foliage emphasizes the whiteness of the blooms. A very special rose for picking as it has good staying quality in the vase and stands out in any floral arrangement. Unfortunately, although listed as a floribunda rose with the breeder, it is considered to be a shrub rose so there appears to be no classes to exhibit it successfully, (not even in miniature basket classes).

Marlborough has a healthy bush with quick repeat but the blooms are here today and gone tomorrow. Waikato report a garden rose with flowers that have an old fashioned look. Good for bouquets and baskets. Compact growth. North Otago says compact and healthy with pure white flowers. A good garden rose especially useful in smaller gardens or in the front of borders.
