C.P. Horner, Awards to Rose Seedlings in Great Britain in 1990.
The Harry Edland Memorial Medal for the Best Scented of the award-winning roses and a Certificate of Merit went to Pat Dickson with DICqueue, a deep apricot Cluster Flower seedling which was placed 1st in the public vote. I found this seedling superb in the bud and early flowering stages but I was less impressed with the fade. What a pity it doesn't shatter more quickly.....Interestingly the International Trials Committee and the public were very much in agreement. The Harry Edland Winner DICqueue was placed 1st in their appeal by the enthusiastic visitors to the garden.

E.F. Allen, Awards to Rose Seedlings in Great Britain in 1989.
DICqueue is a most impressive large Flower, by Dickson, with orange yellow flowers and a good scent (7/10). My own marks would justify a very high award in 1990. Trial Ground Certificate to second year seedling.
