Bred by David C. H. Austin (1926-2018) (United Kingdom, 1998).
Introduced in United Kingdom by David Austin Roses Limited (UK) in 2002 as 'Spirit of Freedom'.
Class:
Shrub.   (Series: English Rose Collection)  
Bloom:
Light pink.  Moderate, myrrh fragrance.  up to 200 petals.  Average diameter 2.75".  Large, in large clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Rounded buds.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy, climbing, spreading, well-branched.  Medium, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.  7 leaflets.  

Height: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 11.  Can be used for cut flower, garden, landscape or shrub.  Vigorous.  can be trained as a climber.  rain tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
