I ordered Frankly Scarlet on a whim last year with some money on a leftover gift certificate. That said, I wouldn't say I've been disappointed with it, I would just say it hasn't really knocked my socks off in any meaningful way. Yes, the color is a different shade of red than most of the available red floribundas (there's a ton of them), but I'm not sure that'd be enough for me to make this top choice. I started mine in a pot and it wasn't happy before I put it in the ground. It bloomed frequently, but it isn't ideal for the very hot summers we have in Houston as the blooms fry some in July and August, and I didn't have any blackspot issues. However, Black Cherry, also from Jackson & Perkins, is a much better choice IMO despite the color differences in the two.

Can anyone tell me about your experience with Frankly Scarlet's disease resistance, heat tolerance, and/or bloom frequency? Thanks.
