'Virapricot' rose Description

Bloom:
Apricot or apricot blend. None to mild fragrance. Average diameter 4". Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Medium, spreading. Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.
Height: up to 4' (up to 120cm). Width: 30" to 4' (75 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower, garden or landscape. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Breeder's notes:
This Tea rose is named for our daughter. Her name is Chitra, but in India there already is a rose variety with this name. Krishna is the name of her husband and we felt ‘she must be his peach’ so why not name the rose thus. Also, the flowers are peach colored and very elegant. Krishna , as you know, is the popular Hindu god of playfulness and mischief, but who, in the famous “Bhagavad-Gita” dialogue, enunciates the basics of Hindu philosophy.
