From the Rosen-Zeitung 1901, pg.14.

NEUHEIT FÜR 1902

MONSIEUR JEAN DUPUY.

My translation:

NOVELTY FOR 1902

MONSIEUR JEAN DUPUY. (Tea) In the spring of 1902, an extra beautiful rose under the above name will be for sale at P. Lambert Trier. It is dedicated to the French Minister of Agriculture and has received a first prize at the Paris Exposition.
The bud is enormously large, long, the main colour delicate yellow, washed with brilliant carmine, an extra beautiful colouring. The shrub is vigorous. At the breeder's place, it is considered to be one of the most outstanding cut roses.

You're welcome. It seems apparent that this is just the same rose as MME Jean Dupuy, and it looks like it was initially planned to be named after Monsieur Dupuy. After it was actually introduced as MME Jean Dupuy there is a similar entry in the Rosen-Zeitung under Madame Jean Dupuy.
