It is one of the best roses I have, it has a mauve tinge to it. I bought it from Vernon Rickard shortly before he passed away. Nancy sent me a second, I don't winter protect and they survived two New England winters, one with extreme cold and more snow than we have had in years; this past winter we had no snow, and we had some days with very lows temperatures and no snow cover, they were fine. Rose is also vigorous.
