This is my rose Christmas Card. It's name came from the year it was used as my Christmas Card photo. People then asked about the "Christmas Card" rose and eventually it became known as Christmas Card, even though its color has nothing to do with Christmas.

The following information was included in the patent for Breathless regarding its parentage.
"large glossy foliage of the (unnamed) female white flowered parent combined with the very large flower size and fragrance of the male parent," (Chrysler Imperial)

Breathless is one of the most gorgeous roses I have ever seen, if not THE most. My best friend, who was a very heavy feeder and expert roasrian from Santa Monica grew it in the 90's. It was a big plant with a huge, deep pink frangrant blooms but he never could coax too blooms out of the plant and they would often fry on hotter days even in the mild beach climate.

I think the color has been fixed. Can you also confirm the hardiness of STRAWBERRY ROMANCE? Zone 2b?

I have not grown it in a 2B climate but I can not imagine how it could be that hardy. Maybe they meant 6B or 7B.

Zone 2 sounded unlikely for any hybrid tea. Thanks for the confirmation. A revision to Zone 6b sounds more likely.
