Bloom:
Crimson - pink, salmon-pink shading, ages to deep pink . Strong fragrance. Large, double (17-25 petals), nodding or "weak neck" bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing. Large, glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 15' to 20' (455 to 610cm). Width: up to 10' (up to 305cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Possibly dedicated to Thérèse Bretillot (October 25, 1870 Lausanne - July 12, 1955 Besançon), married 1902 to Pierre du Fou (January 19, 1868 Pleurs - October 1, 1950 Besançon), Lieutenant of the cavalry, Mayor of La-Tour-de-Sçay, son of Yves Comte du Fou. According to the 1922 reference, this rose was obtained by a young worker on the Sauvageot nursery. 'Vicomtesse Pierre du Fou' sold by Beales was identified to be 'Etoile de Portugal' - see References.
