Introduced in Germany by J. C. Schmidt / Blumenschmidt as 'Leuchtstern'.
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1904 as 'Leuchtstern'.

Bloom:
Deep pink, white center.  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 2".  Medium, single (4-8 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.

Climbing.  Medium, dark green foliage.
