Pearson's Encyclopedia of Roses (1956), )pg. 171. Baby Gold Star syn. Estrellita de Oro. (Miniature China) (Eduardo Toda X R. Chinensis minima) Deep yellow. Dainty semi-double blooms, very freely produced on a bushy plant about 9" tall. Perfect for edgings or rockeries. (Dot, 1940.)

This rose has rather too many flowers and not enough leaves. Also the flowers are slightly too large and out of scale with the size of the plant. However it is still worth growing as an historical rose and plants raised by Pedro Dot are always interesting.
