I am not sure where the breeder Poulsen, 1923 comes from, but have left it on the main page temporarily in case anybody knows anything more.
According to the 1929 reference 'Mrs. E. Willis' may have been bred in about 1909.
Alister Clark was fascinated with this rose and bred 'Fairlie Rede' from it.

Thank you, Patricia. I've made the correction.

"Rosenlexikon" states Poulsen, 1923 as breeder. Is it possible that Poulsen introduced this rose in Europe?

Only someone with a Poulsen catalogue will be able to tell us that. There is no mention in my 1955 book 'Poulsen on the Rose'.
