Origin:
Bred by Cornelis Stegerhoek (Netherlands, before 1815).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Lee & Kennedy / Vineyard Nursery Hammersmith in before 1822 as 'Rose Tricolore'.
Class:
Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Pink, purple mottling, white streaks, lilac shading.  Mild fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  Glandular sepals, rounded buds.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns.  Small foliage.  

Height: up to 4' (up to 120cm).  Width: up to 3' (up to 90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 8b.
