It seems there were at least 3 yellow sports of 'Talisman', one of which was called 'Golden Talisman' by its discoverer. Another yellow sport, 'Souvenir' was sometimes sold as 'Golden Talisman' in the U.S. & perhaps elsewhere. The original 'Golden Talisman' was apparently withdrawn due to being inferior to another yellow sport, 'Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt'.

There's no way of knowing, I guess, but I can't help wondering if the lovely roses in these photos are really the original 'Golden Talisman' that was withdrawn from commerce for being inferior to another sport?
