Introduced in the early 90's and still considered the standard bearer for single minis. Carl Mahanay, an outstanding rosarian from San Diego, got me started on this rose. The blooms of great substance open flat and stay that way making it a wonderful exhibition rose. Stamen quality is standard setting. The purity of the white color is amazing. The plant is appropriately vigorous, generally healthy and does well on its own roots. The very pleasant fragrance is an unexpected surprise. To fully appreciate the fragrance cut a bunch in the morning and take indoors. The blooms tend to fold up at night. Caution to the exhibitor; the blooms will fold up in the frig and may never open up again on exhibition day. Diligent deadheading is a requirement for continuous bloom production.

Grace Seward is a lovely rose, with pink anthers and dark stamens. Its scent is amazing. I lost mine in Katrina, and miss it keenly.
