Origin:

Bred by Louis-Xavier Granger (France, before 1867).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Lee & Kennedy / Vineyard Nursery Hammersmith in 1869 as 'Edouard Morren'.
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1876 as 'Edouard Morren'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Paul and Son / George Paul in 1879 as 'Edouard Morren'.

Hybrid Perpetual.

Bloom:

Deep pink to cherry-red. Moderate fragrance. Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, flat bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Height: up to 39" (up to 100cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be trained as a climber.
