*** Growing near Houston, TX: sub tropical zone 9a. Mild winters, hot, extremely humid summers that last half the year. ***

Purchased as a one gallon own root plant from Chamblee's May 2011.

Update.. 9/17/2012- Planted originally in pot for a few months, did well (ish), then moved to front yard in garden. NOT a happy camper. Flowers very frequently, but is not heat tolerant AT ALL. Blooms immediately crisp, foliage (after burning to a crisp also) is almost non-existant. I DO like the flower color though, so I may re-pot the plant and see if it doesn't do better that way.

3/2014- planted in new garden
5/25/15- doing well in partial shade
4/2016- small, happy plant. 1.5h x 1w
4/18/2019- My plant is still-a-goin'. Size is only about 2.5h x 2w, but then it is in quite a bit of dappled shade. Blooms come regularly, they rarely ball, not a speck of disease to be seen on its glossy foliage (I don't spray). I have no memory of fragrance attached to this rose, so it must not have any or much. I forgive that. This is a great plant.
5/17/2021- I've had no problems with this plant. Didn't have much dieback from winter and has been blooming steadily. Size is about the same.
