Origin:
Introduced in United Kingdom by James Colvill in before 1825 as ' Rosa microphylla Roxb. ex Lindl. synonym'.
Bloom:
Pink. Flowers lilac pink on short pedicels. Double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.
Habit:
Height of up to 6' (up to 185 cm). Width of up to 5' (up to 150 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Produces decorative hips.
Notes:
Current botanic name: R. roxburghii f. roxburghii. The original Chestnut rose which was discovered in Asia was this double form of R. roxburghii.
