Bred by Julien-ALEXANDRE Hardy (France, before 1837).
Introduced in France by Margottin père & fils in 1845 as 'Pumila alba'.
Class:
Lawranceana, Noisette.  
Bloom:
Blush to white.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 0.75".  Small, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Short, bushy, few or no prickles/thorns.  Dark green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
Pumila is derived from Latin pumil(o) mean "a dwarf," referring to the low-growing habit.
