"Ferguson Valley Deep Purple Pink" parent plant. Spring, Western Australia. To my eye it is the foliage that is the most recognisable feature of this rose. The leaflets broaden to almost a circular shape and have prominent veins that are often conspicuously impressed, and moderately coarse serrations. The blooms are often held on curved and twisted pedicels that have been described as 'swan-necked'. These features are identical in "Kombacy Elyena" which was collected near Mildura in Victoria.

“Kombacy Elyena". 479 Oct 28, 2022. Provenance: Kombacy, Irymple-> Margaret Furness-> Lustgarten-17 in 2010-> Ult Gdn-101c in 2016. In the spring an old lady’s fancy lightly turn again to thoughts of ‘Francois Dubreuil’.

South Australia, zone 9b, late spring. Same bush as in 336334 but has filled out, with being fed heavily with horse manure.

"Ferguson Valley Deep Purple Pink" parent plant. Spring, Western Australia. The bloom colour varies considerably from red to pink. Petal reverses are often, but not always, a pale colour, giving a white-washed impression.
