This shows how foliage is lightly rugose and canes are predominately thornless. Occassionally there will be a cane that comes up that is covered with nasty armature. Sometimes the bottoms are heavily thorned while the tops are practically thornless. Very Strange.

This photo is a bit under exposed, so the dark color looks more red than pink. In reality it is a combination of dark pink and white. The petal reverse exposed on the buds looks more pink than white, while the open bloom often looks more white than pink.
