This plant set a good crop of hips in 2010, mainly out of Francis Dubreuil. The hips are small and round and orange. They contain about 15 seeds each. It is an easy breeder. There was better rebloom this year, but the later flowers all appear singly or in small clusters at the end of new canes. The plant developed black spot this summer, but is not terribly bothered by the disease - simply dropping the affected leaves and growing three times as many new ones to compensate. I'll have to watach and see if this problem gets any worse next year. While the flowers are not spectacular, this plant brings a strong vigorous constitution to the table along with the big bold habit and attitude of the HPs. I am hoping to see these characteristics moving forward.
