*** Growing near Houston, TX: sub tropical zone 9a. Mild winters, hot, extremely humid summers that last half the year. ***
Purchased from Rose Petals Nursery June 2016
11/5/2016- Just went into a three gallon pot. No flowers yet.
4/6/2018- planted in large rectangle bed
5/16/2019- The foliage of this rose is simply glorious! My little plant isn't very big yet, about 3ft wide by 1.5ft tall, but it's very bushy and putting out a lot of new growth. I think I'll like this one.
Valentine's Day 2021- 5 days below freezing temps, down to 14/15 degrees, a little ice cover. Survived and grew well the following spring.
Christmas 2022- Very warm fall/winter and then 3 days below freezing temps, down to 15/16 degrees, no snow or ice, high winds. Edith Perry died back to the ground and did not grow back.
1/14/2024- No attempt at regrowth in over a year. I assume it was winter killed.
