Andrew: Do you have a picture of Quince tree? I googled Quince tree, but it only shows close-up of fruit & leaves, rather than the entire tree. I cannot find any Quince fruit in this alkaline-city, but I saw Quince fruit when I lived in acidic East coast. We have cranberries here, and its our Thanksgiving Holiday tradition to use cranberries in apple pie, it gives a nice red-color.
So your garden is in autumn, at 10 C of 50 F. Same here, it's cooling off, we are at 57 F night time. I hope my 20 tomatoes stop producing, since my large freezer is jammed. This year I stuffed grass clippings & Tomato-Tone fertilizer (organic), and gypsum in the planting hole, and got a bumper crop of tomatoes. Thanks to gypsum tomatoes are firm & with glossy-skin, and they don't crack with heavy rain, no worms either.
