Hi, This is Anne Scranton. My Grandmother, Annette Dobbs is still alive at 96. She lives with me and is now bed bound, but still alert and full of information. I met a person last night that was interested in purchasing an "Anne Scranton" rose plant today. She was so delighted to meet me and soon to meet my Grandmother. This prompted me to look up some info that I have in my treasure box. I have a news article with my picture when I was ten yrs old. The article mentions the "Anne Scranton ' rose, my Grandmother as the hybridizer, and the "Parents". I noticed that your info states "Queen Elizabeth" and "Katherine Mansfield" are the cross. My correction to be noted is that the "Queen Elizabeth" is correct, but it's actually "Katherine Marshall" as the other parent. Thank you for having this website and carrying on the "Rose World" that I grew up with. I have an old "Anne Scranton" in my yard. Funny thing is is that we just replanted it a couple days ago. Then run into a stranger asking about it, then logging on your site. Serendipity! Thank You, Anne

Thank you Anne. It is nice to hear of your connection with that little bit of history. We have corrected the pollen parent to read 'Katherine T. Marshall'. If ever you have a spare five minutes, cut and paste your interesting comment into the comments for 'Anne Scranton'. (We'll never find it again in Website Errors.) And if you have any photos of 'Anne Scranton', they would be most welcome.
