Is this rose really hardy in zone 5b? Earth Kind, Chamblee, and Antique Rose Emporium all list it as hardy in zones 7-9. I'd love to give it a try here in 6a/7a (depending on elevation/shelter here in Walla Walla) because mildew is not a big problem.

Looking at the Gardens listing, there are two 5b's, a 6a, a couple of 6b's and 7a's. The microclimate in these gardens is unknown, but you might address these members to find out more.

Sometimes I see questions--particularly in the plant identification category--with pictures. How do you add a picture to a question or comment?

Thanks!

The Missouri Botanical Garden website includes Oso Easy Honeybun at http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/gardens-gardening/your-garden/plant-finder/plant-details/kc/f242/.aspx

From the site: "Flowers (each to 2” diameter) bloom in terminal clusters (3-5 flowers per cluster) over a long late May to frost bloom period. Flowers typically vary in color from blush-pink to butter yellow to creamy white. Flowers are slightly fragrant. Compound glossy green leaves (to 3" long) have ovate leaflets (to 1" long) with serrulate margins. Parents of this rose are Rosa 'Flower Carpet' (female) and Rosa 'Shine On' (male). U. S. Plant Patent PP21,611 was issued on January 11, 2011."

Thanks Charlene. We've not been able to add which Flower Carpet, but we've added a Note - and the reference.

Hi, I have lots of books on roses and would gladly help add to your references section. Do you want more information of this sort? If so, can you tell me how to add information?

Thanks,
Charlene Grass (Wrygrass)

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Would you start by doing them as a comment under each rose.
Quote the author, publication, year, issue or volume, and page number.
Then the relevant text. You don't have to add it all, just any information which SAYS something about the rose. But it must be verbatim. Depending on our workload, we will then check and add the information as a reference.

In time, once you get used to it, perhaps we would be able to shortcut the procedure and you can add the references yourself. There is so much good information out there - and so many people to help add it to HelpMeFind. Thank you Charlene for your offer of help.
