Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1931 as 'Thomas A. Edison'.

Bloom:
Salmon-pink, shading.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), in small clusters, cupped, expanded bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
Inventor Thomas A. Edison patented the phonograph 19 February 1878. Edison privately demonstrated incandescent light at Menlo Park 20 December 1879. He was born in Milan, Ohio, 11 February 1847 and died in West Orange, New Jersey, 18 October 1931.
