Hello
I am a french gardener at the city of Chalon-sur-Saône. I just want to tell you that the rose 'Ville de ChalonS' don't have 'S' at the end. The real name is 'Ville de Chalon'.
M Champion has made this variety for the city of 'Chalon-sur-Saône' where he has some roses cultures and not for the city of Châlons-en-Champagne.

Merci pour votre message. Malheuresement, la rose est enregistrée comme 'Vlle de Chalons' dans le publications à notre disposition. Il semble que la ville s'appelle Chalöons-sur-Saône au 18ème siècle et que les duex nomes soient utilisées parallelement au 19ème. Si vouz avez des informations publiées sur Champion et le nom de la rose, cela aiderait.
