I was told that the name of this rose is Mrs Armstrong. However I am unable to find any information on it

Do you have a picture or a description of your rose? It is difficult to tell without any refeence. There are roses called Charlotte Armstrong and Daina Armstrong. It could be possibly one of these.

No, your bush is neither Charlotte nor Diana Armstrong. I am afraid it is something else.

This picture looks like Bewitched to me, or perhaps Queen Elizabeth. It looks very happy.

Thanks for the input. It could be a Queen Elizabeth. It has 25 petals and the leaves are prone to black spots. It loses most of the leaves during the summer, but it does a nice recovery and blooms again. It also has a wonderful fragrance.

You mentioned fragrance, which might be a clue. My QE is over 20 years old and has never had a decent fragrance. Although the medium pink color in your photo is consistent with QE, your flowers look fuller than my QE. Blooms on my QE open in a shallow cup shape to reveal the stamens, and the color does not fade or change much even in the heat.
