Should I plant my new Gruss an Teplitz in a west-facing L-shaped niche where it can grow as a climber? Or should I look for a different rose to fill that spot? (One source tells me the rose will grow as high as 12 feet--two others inform me only about six. If it will grow only six feet, then I prefer to reserve that spot for a true climber or pillar rose.) I live 30 miles northeast of San Francisco where June weather usually reaches 95 to 100 degrees F for about two weeks.
