Brod, was the forest district, place, where R. Geschwind worked in 1859 - 1867 as a forester. A place near town Žarnovica, Slovakia today. This period is issued his book - Hybridization of forest trees (Hybridation der Forstgehölze). He hybridized there the Sessile Oak (Quercus petrea) x the English Oak (Quercus robur), too.
