Origin:

Bred by Alexandre Bernaix (France, 1887).
Introduced in Australia by Arthur Yates & Co. Ltd. in 1899 as 'Claire Jacquier'.

Class:

Hybrid Multiflora, Noisette.

Bloom:

Light yellow, darker center, ages to cream. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 1.25". Small, double (17-25 petals), in large clusters bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season. Pointed buds.

Habit:

Climbing, few or no prickles/thorns. Large, glossy, dark green foliage. 7 leaflets.

Height: 25' to 30' (760 to 915cm). Width: 10' (305cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Very vigorous.
