Book  (2005)  Page(s) 259.

Multiflora. 'Mademoiselle Claire Jacquier'. Syn. 'Claire Jacquier'. Bernaix, 1888. Habit: climber of 3 to 4 m, much more under good conditions, 2.5 m width, almost without prickles. Foliage: medium green, glossy; large elongated and pointed leaflets. Bloom: small to medium, semi-double; stamens visible; in clusters of 6 to 12. Slight repeat. Colour: light yellow, deeper in the centre, passes to cream. Fragrance: moderate. This rose is often classed among Noisettes, although it seems to be a cross of rosa multiflora x a Tea rose. In the nomenclature of Simon & Cochet, it is classed as a multiflora, which we adhere to. A very vigorous climber and rightly very popular.

‘Claire Jacquier’: Noisette… description. Bernaix, France, 1888. Peut-être Rosa multiflora x rosier thé.

Claire Jacquier (Noisette Climber) A very good rose with considerable prowess as a climber.  Well foliated.  The flowers are shapely, of a rich eggy-yellow colour and exude a pleasing perfume.  1888.  •  N. T. (R) 25 x 20’.

Ken Nobbs. Roses Without Thorns. There is one very strong growing climber 'Claire Jaquier' which is virtually thornless. Apart from a few old broad thorns on a limited area of the lower trunk the rest of this massive climber with canes several metres long is delightfully smooth. This is just as well as it is so vigorous that it strays into the path and has to be continually pruned to confine it to its allotted area. It only flowers once for me however, and does not set hips.
