Origin:
Bred by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II (1891-1976) (Germany, 1956).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1958 as 'Zwergkönig'.
Class:
Miniature.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red, yellow undertones.  Mild, tea fragrance.  up to 25 petals.  Average diameter 0.75".  Small, semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small buds.  
Habit:
Short, compact.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 8" to 15" (20 to 40cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
