... one of the three Cocker brothers crossed 'Mrs. John Laing' and 'Mabel Morrison'. The result was a soft pink rose, good enough to win a Gold Medal in 1898... They named it 'Mrs. Cocker', after Margaret, their recently widowed mother, and introduced it in 1899.
