Bred by Walter Easlea (1832-1919) (United Kingdom, 1919).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1921 as 'Romeo'.

Bloom:
Dark red, purple shading.  Small, double (17-25 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.

Climbing.  

Height: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).
